Daylight Savings, save me some more

To the day that passes by before I can blink,

May you return as soon as I am in sync

With the world around me,

With the soil at my feet.

To where have the minutes escaped?

Please, may the sun rise for an hour longer

May the dew not evaporate before I perspire

yesterday's toxins from my skin.

To the clouds that travel across the horizon

Far before I find peace to arise in,

May you hold your shape longer.

Let the vapor suspend with lost cause,

For I seek to remember the melancholy hue

That breaks apart that innocent blue.

Please, may the wind whistle softly

May the landscape hold still as thy muse.

To the moments that so silently passed,

May your presence be attended as you last.

Let I appreciate the sacrality of time

Before it becomes a past for which I whine.

It is a sour life as I float on without a thought

To the hand ticking away on the inexorable clock.

Please, shake me awake, open my eyes,

For the day will pass as my lids flutter by.
