Seek me

Satan seeks me.

He infiltrates my thoughts and scars my

Skin with his flames.

He weaponizes my flaws and taunts me

With everlasting shame.

He scares me with his despairing darkness.

Seeds of self doubt, questioning and helpless pleas.

The devil knows where to find me

Cowered beneath shaded leaves and apple trees.

He calls out my name with promises of ease, gratification and prosperity.

He marks out my grave and describes me

with lies.

He disfigures the light and distorts my eyes.

He begs me to step closer.

He tries to entrap me with his snakes, vile.

Satan seeks me.

The Lord and I,

We scare him.
